Parliament announces the results of the 2024 Pan Waen Fah Awards, “The Last Night of Documentary Makers”, winner of the short story category.
Pol. Lt. Col. Aphat Sukhanan, Secretary-General of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Pan Waen Fah Awards, along with Mr. Adul Chansak, National Artist in Literature in 2008, Ms. Chamaiporn Bangkombang, National Artist in Literature in 2014, Ms. Nareephop Jiraphotirat, President of the Writers Association of Thailand, and Associate Professor Thaweesak Pinthong, former Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Ramkhamhaeng University and committee member of the 2024 Pan Waen Fah Awards, announced the results of the 2024 Pan Waen Fah Literature Awards. This year, the short story ‘The Last Night of the Documentary Creator’ by Sarot Sae-sung won first place in the short story category, while the poem ‘The Country We Read Before We Grow Up’ by Rangsiman Chunlaharik won first place in the poetry category.
The Office of the Secretariat of the House of Representatives
, through the Pan Waen Fah Award Committee 2024, has organized the Pan Waen Fah Literature Award in the short story and poetry categories to promote democracy. This year, a total of 786 works were submitted, divided into the short story category, 318 works, and poetry category, 468 works.
