Constitutional Court, The Constitutional Court allows “Moving Forward” to extend the time to explain the dissolution of the party for another 15 days, for the final time. An explanation must be given within 2 June.

Constitutional Court judges held a meeting and considered a petition filed by the Election Commission or Election Commission asking the court to consider the case of the Forward Party. Has behavior that subverts the democratic regime of government with the King as Head of State. and is considered to be acting in a manner that may be hostile to the democratic regime of government with the King as Head of State. It is a cause for the dissolution of the party according to the Organic Act on Political Parties, Section 92, paragraph one (1) and (2). The facts appear according to the Constitutional Court’s decision no. 3/2024. Therefore, the Constitutional Court is requested to order the dissolution of the party. Revoke the right to apply for election to the party executive committee. Party executive c
ommittees and those whose rights have been revoked to apply for election are prohibited from registering a new political party or being a party executive committee member or participating in the establishment of a new political party for 10 years from the date the court orders the dissolution of the party.

The party has come a long way as a respondent. The petition was filed on May 13th. Request to extend the period for submitting a third and final explanation of the allegation for another 15 days. The court has considered the request and has ordered granting permission to extend the period as requested. The deadline for submitting an explanation to answer the allegations is June 2, 2024.
