Officials found the body of a 17-year-old boy, a first-year vocational student at Nakhon Lampang Technical College, who fell into deep water in the Wang River while walking with friends at the Wang Pier, Ban Lampang Klang, west bank, where the water level was only knee-high before he fell into a point more than 3 meters deep and disappeared in front of 2 friends. Officials mobilized to search for more than 19 hours before finding the body of the 17-year-old boy hanging in a clump of water hyacinths on the bank of the Wang River, more than 1 kilometer from where he fell, after his parents shouted his name and asked him to get out of the water not long after.
