As well as following up on the overall progress of the Southern Double Track Project, Nakhon Pathom – Chumphon section, divided into 3 periods, 5 contracts as follows: Section 1, Nakhon Pathom – Hua Hin, distance 169 kilometers, 27 stations, consisting of 2 contracts, namely Contract 1, Nakhon Pathom – Nong Pla section. Flow has progressed more than 98 percent, with the first part of the rail system work completed. Open for business from Ban Khu Bua Station to Nong Pla Lai Station, a distance of 36 km. The rest from Nakhon Pathom Station to Ban Khu Bua Station (Phase 2) is planned to be divided into 2 sections, namely, Rong Maduea Station to Ban Khu Bua Station. It is expected to open for business in June 2024 and from Nakhon Pathom St
ation to Phrong Maduea Station. It is expected to open for operation in August 2024. Contract 2, Nong Pla Lai – Hua Hin section, is more than 99 percent complete, with rail system work completed. From Nong Pla Lai Station to Nong Kae Station (Hua Hin Station), a distance of 76 km. and already open for service. As for station buildings, of the 10 stations, 5 stations have been handed over. There are 5 remaining stations: Phetchaburi Station, Cha-am Station, Nong Chok Station, and Nong Mai Lueng Station. and Hua Hin Station It is expected that the delivery will be completed by June 15, 2024. As for the Hua Hin elevated station building, Some services are now open. to support the opening of double-track traffic As of December 2023, Section 2 Hua Hin – Prachuap Khiri Khan, Contract No. 3, distance 84 kilometers. Currently, the civil work construction is completed and open for double-track traffic. Section 3 Prachuap Khiri Khan – Chumphon, distance 167 kilometers, consists of Contract No. 4, Prachuap Khiri Khan –
Bang Saphan Noi, civil works are completed and open for double-track traffic, and contract no. 5, Bang Saphan Noi – Chumphon section, distance 80 kilometers, progress over 99 percent. At Bang Saphan Noi Station – Saphli Station, civil construction work is completed, and double-track traffic is opened. and the remaining period will open in June 2024.

Mr. Suraphong also said that he has ordered to expedite the construction of the southern double track railway, Nakhon Pathom – Chumphon section, so that the entire route can be opened by August 2024, which will increase the efficiency of transportation in the rail system with the railway system.
