Students and fans mourn the passing of ‘Kru Charin’

Miscellaneous

Fans of ‘Kru Charin’ sing ‘Yat Phet’ together to mourn the passing of the legendary Luk Krung music teacher, national artist.

After “Charin Nantanakorn”, National Artist in Performing Arts (Thai Pop Singer) 1998, passed away at Police General Hospital at approximately 2:23 a.m., before this, Teacher Charin had health problems and had been receiving treatment for some time. Most recently, he was receiving treatment at Police General Hospital as a patient under royal patronage until his death.

While the Police General Hospital’s Forensic Science Institute and the Charin Songs Conservation Club contacted officials to process the documents for receiving the body, the atmosphere was filled with sadness.

Mr. Thirachai Ngamnararat, President of Charin Songs Conservation Club, revealed that the group really likes Kru Charin’s songs. They have been fans of Kru Charin’s works all along and have founded the Charin Songs Conservation Club since 2004. It has been 20 years now. Kru Charin often comes to sing and wish h
appy birthdays to the group members regularly because of his friendliness. He also teaches and advises on singing regularly. We all like Kru’s songs and singing, which are unique. His graceful manner on stage is responsible for his work every time. Kru exercises and takes good care of his health, and prepares to practice singing before rehearsing every time there is a concert.

The favorite songs that the teacher often sang to me with a beautiful voice were ‘Yad Phet’ and ‘Phuchana Sip Thit’. Tomorrow, the body will be moved to Wat That Thong, Bangkok, for religious rites.
