On August 7, 2024, at the artificial turf field, Thunderdome Football Park, Muang Thong Thani, Muang Thong United Club held a press conference to launch the club to compete in the 2024/25 season under the concept “FEARLESS KIRINS Muang Thong is not afraid of anyone”, adding a team of top-level players, both foreign and Thai, hoping to reclaim success back to the Underdome Stadium once again.
The event was presided over by ‘Big Pok’ Wilaksorn Lothong, President of ‘Kirins’ Muangthong United. In addition, there were also ‘Big Pae’ Ronnarit Suewaja, Club Director, and Gino Lettieri, Italian coach. The team was led by team captain ‘Ken’ Picha Autra, Tristan Do, and Prames Ajwilai, who led the team of players to join the event in a lively atmosphere.
The highlight was the launch of the new competition kit under the sponsor brand ‘EGO Sport’, another leading Thai sportswear brand, with a modern design and quality fabrics at a very reasonable price. The main competition kit in red, black and gold was used, along
with the away kit and the third kit, which fans saw for the first time. In addition, the players and staff were introduced, led by Italian head coach Gino Lettieri, a European champion, as well as top international and Thai players, who are preparing to compete in three domestic football tournaments: the Thai League, FA Cup, League Cup, and the AFC Champions League 2, the group stage of this season.
Ronnarit Chuewaja, Director of Muangthong United Club, said, ‘For the return to the competition in this new season, we have created the campaign FEARLESS KIRINS, Muangthong is not afraid of anyone, under the philosophy of attacking football, which is the DNA of our club. Of course, during the last off-season, we planned and prepared as best we could, including 8 foreign quota players and many Thai players, in order to achieve our important goal.
In addition, ‘Big Pae’ also said, ‘I would like to thank KDMS for becoming a partner because this year Muang Thong Club has 4 competition programs, so the physical condi
tion of the players is important. We believe that by joining hands this time, KDMS will help take care of both the physical condition of the players and their injuries, as well as their physical rehabilitation to keep the players in good shape throughout the season.’
While Dr. Korakot Thampongsri, a specialist in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the Khun Dee Mee Suk Orthopedic Hospital, talked about the partnership with Muang Thong, ‘At KDMS Orthopedic Hospital, we will take care of the players, both surgically and non-surgically, including rehabilitation and physical care to bring the players back to full fitness as soon as possible. For Muang Thong United, the first match will be an away match against new team Nakhon Ratchasima Mazda FC on Sunday, August 11 at 7:00 p.m.
