Samart” says the leaked clip of “Baan Pa” is not real, points out that AI technology has come a long way, citing the case of the clip of “Uncle Pom” singing with “Thaksin”, which has both images and sounds. People still don’t believe it’s real, thinking that he probably won’t come out to respond.

Mr. Samart Jenchaijitwanich, deputy spokesman of the Palang Pracharath Party, spoke about the case of 4 audio clips of conversations that resembled General Prawit Wongsuwan, the leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, that technology has advanced a lot these days, both in terms of creating audio clips or forging audio clips. He also released a sample clip that used AI to create audio clips and images of General Prawit singing the song Kham Kampaeng with former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. However, in reality, General Prawit did not go to sing the song, and people did not believe that it was General Prawit, even though there was a shadow image that looked very similar to General Prawit. So how could we believe
that the audio clips that were leaked were really General Prawit’s voice? However, the person who released the clips clearly intended to make people misunderstand, which he personally thought was unfair to General Prawit. There is already a process for checking.

As for whether it will discredit General Prawit or not, Mr. Samart admitted that political discrediting happens every day, not just now. But the attacks, slanders, and defamation reflect whether General Prawit can be the prime minister or not. Therefore, this process has been initiated. However, he personally believes that General Prawit will not care because it is not true.

As for the possibility that the person who recorded the audio clip is someone close to General Prawit, Mr. Samart stated that he personally does not know. However, General Prawit is normally an open person who welcomes anyone who wants to approach him. He does not block anyone. However, what he wants to emphasize is how can we be sure that the audio clip is real?

In the case of
Mr. Suttipong Julcharoen, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, who admitted that it was his voice, Mr. Samart said that he was not at the scene, so he did not know. He would have to ask Mr. Suttipong himself what he was talking about. However, as for General Prawit, he believes that he was not harmed by the clip because it is not a real clip. How can it be considered important? It would have to be proven first. The best thing to do is for the media that released the clip to tell about the process of obtaining this evidence, from whom, and how it was obtained.

‘I personally believe that Baan Chan should have more clips, not Baan Pa. But if the process goes to the Constitutional Court, there will probably be an investigation to find the facts. I think the public is more interested in the clips at Baan Chan,’ said Mr. Samart.

Mr. Samart also reiterated that regarding the incident, we should see General Prawit as a good person who does not screen anything. We should not think that those around Gener
al Prawit cannot be trusted because he sees everyone as his children and grandchildren and is kind-hearted like him. He is not wary of anyone. Therefore, we should respect General Prawit’s heart. Every time General Prawit was bullied, he never fought back. Instead, he relied on his status as a soldier, a warrior, and the commander-in-chief of the army to use his honor to take it all on himself.
