Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, has ordered the 2nd Army Area to closely monitor the flood situation in the northeastern region, especially sending military personnel and equipment to help people in Nong Khai Province, as well as transporting people, belongings, and pets to safe areas.
While the Mekong Riverine Peacekeeping Unit (NRK) of the Royal Thai Navy has prepared to help people in the Nong Khai area as well, by joining forces with the 2nd Army Area and the Army Development Command to enter the Nong Khai province to help people affected by the disaster.
