Government House, “Phao Bhumi”, Deputy Minister of Finance, explained that tonight, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM, the “State” app will close the system and reset the version to make the queue system, not the app crashing. He confirmed that registration will be opened simultaneously on August 1 at 8:00 AM. He is confident that there will be no problems and that people can register within the time frame without having to extend it.

Mr. Phao Bhum Rojanasakul, Deputy Minister of Finance, talked about the problem of the ‘Government’ application crashing this morning (July 31), saying that the system is currently under development. Today (July 31), between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., the government application will reset its version to connect to the population registration system, and all systems will be ready by 8:00 a.m. on August 1. Tomorrow (August 1), there will be a ‘Confirm’ button because the government application currently does not have a queuing system or a waiting system, so the system must be reset during that
time. As a result, the system will be shut down, but it will not crash. When citizens enter the government application, they will be queued into the population registration system to check if their information is correct. He emphasized that the shutdown is not related to a system problem, but rather a version reset.

When asked if people have had problems verifying their identity in the government application since this morning, Mr. Pao Bhumi reiterated that it was due to the system reset, which was planned in advance. Therefore, he informed people that registration would be possible on August 1st at 8:00 a.m.

As for the prediction that people will rush to register in large numbers tomorrow (August 1), will the system be ready and not collapse? Mr. Pao Bhumi reiterated that the system’s readiness has already been planned. The system must be set up to be a queuing system and will be sent to the population registration. He had previously informed that the system must enter the ID card number and verify the per
son’s face before sending it to the population registration. There must be a response from the population registration first, which takes time. It is a queuing system. Then, the username, password, and PIN code will be created, which will complete the registration and identity verification process.

When asked what message he would like to give to the people who may rush to register tomorrow (August 1), which may cause delays and problems, Mr. Pao Bhumi said that there may be delays, but not from the government application itself. It will be slow because of the queuing system to check with the population registration system, which the system will accept people anyway. If there are more than 5 million people, it will be a queuing system.

When asked if the registration deadline will be extended if people are still unable to register, Mr. Pao Bhumi said that everyone who wants to register must be able to do so within the time frame, and there is no reason why people cannot register in time because he confirmed
that the government application will not have any problems and he believes that registration will be possible within the specified time frame, which is August 1 – September 15.

As for the people whose household registration has been changed, will they be able to use it in the new area? Mr. Phao Bhum said that the right to use will be based on the address that the people registered. Counting from the day of registration, where the household registration is, that will be used.
