In the MotoGP World Championship, the 9th round at the Chessenring in Germany, Ducati’s Italian rider Francesco Bagnaia won the 9th round after Spanish rider Jorge Martin, who was leading at the end, crashed at the first corner of the final round, sending Bagnaia, who had won the 6th round earlier, to win this round. Brothers Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, giving Bagnaia 222 points, overtaking Jorge Martin, who had 212 points, to become the overall leader.
