During the training of new soldiers in June 67, he was punished by a trainer who was a sergeant and an assistant trainer who was a conscript soldier by acting excessively until he was injured. After that, the training unit sent him for treatment at Nawamintharachini Camp Hospital, Chonburi Province, and then sent him to receive treatment at Phramongkutklao Hospital, Bangkok, continuou
sly until August 2, 67, when the patient’s condition deteriorated and he later died.

Col. Richcha added that when the unit learned that the punishment of the soldier was excessive, it set up a committee to investigate all personnel involved. Disciplinary action was taken against three commanders who lacked supervision, from the platoon commander to the battalion commander, and criminal charges were taken against 13 non-commissioned officers and enlisted soldiers on charges of ‘jointly causing physical harm to another person, resulting in their death.’

‘Currently, the perpetrators are being held at the 14th Military Circle Prison and are undergoing further investigation. In addition, the unit has provided compensation to the families, facilitated and provided medical treatment to the injured, and organized religious ceremonies when the personnel died,’ said Col.
