“B” Chanjam Suwanpheng, a female boxer from the Thai national team who has already won at least a bronze medal, is preparing to compete in the semi-finals of the women’s boxing 66 kg category against Iman Khlif, a strong female boxer from Algeria who is currently involved in a gender identity test drama, on the night of August 6th at 3:34 AM.
Today, Chanjam traveled to rehabilitate her body with a hyperbaric capsule and physical therapy at the Thai House Center, under close supervision of sports scientists from the Sports Authority of Thailand. Previously, Mr. Suchai Pornchaisak-Udom, advisor to the International Boxing Association, announced a 1 million baht bonus for Chanjam to defeat Algerian boxer Khleif. Most recently, Pol. Lt. Gen. Chaiwat Chotima, secretary-general of the International Boxing Association, revealed that he had been informed by Bangchak Company that there would be another 2 million baht in prize money if she made it to the final round.
