“Chalermchai” urges Democrat MPs, reiterates that the party is an institution, and that if they vote on anything, they should look at the party’s resolutions. He insists that no Democrats talked about it at Chan Song La yesterday.

Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, leader of the Democrat Party, said before entering the executive committee meeting that today was a meeting that was scheduled more than 10 days in advance. There will be a discussion about the political situation and a report from various working groups that were previously appointed to drive the party’s activities on how the party has progressed. However,

in the executive committee meeting, there will probably be no discussion about the vote for the prime minister because not all of them are MPs. However, there will probably be a discussion in the MP meeting about how to vote. He talked to everyone and asked that the Democrat Party is a political institution. Therefore, whatever they do, they must also look at the party’s resolutions.

As for yesterday (A
ugust 14), there was news that the Democrat Party went to Chan Song La house. Mr. Chalermchai laughed in good spirits and replied, ‘Who is that? Let me see the name of the person. When we talked, there was no picture because I didn’t go. I checked the media and didn’t see any Democrats going at all. Please tell the public the truth.’

‘Yesterday, I watched it. I was sitting and watching the news. The reporters were really good. They checked every car. They zoomed in on the cars. I was still looking to see if there were any Democrats sitting there. There weren’t any. And the pictures were clear. You have to go and tell me that there are no Democrats, nothing. If you have anything to ask me, I will answer honestly. But if there aren’t any, I will tell you honestly that there aren’t any,’ said Mr. Chalermchai.

As for whether anyone from the Democrat Party had contacted him by phone, Mr. Chalermchai said that he would show him his phone. There was none. Yesterday, he did not pick up the phone or talk to anyone a
bout politics. He was confident. As for his opinion on the nomination of Mr. Chaikasem Nitisiri as the next prime minister, Mr. Chalermchai said that he did not know who the Pheu Thai Party would be sending or if there were other candidates. He did not know any more news than that because he had not talked to anyone from Pheu Thai at all.

‘Today we are not the government. Personally, no matter what position we are in, as a politician or a Thai person, I want the country to move forward. Today, the country’s economy is very bad. Therefore, the impacts that have occurred have affected Thai people. Today, it has occurred from the middle to the lower levels. It has a direct impact on our fellow citizens. I want the economy to improve. The well-being of our fellow citizens will also improve. This is the feeling of a Thai person, a politician who loves the country like everyone else,’ said the leader of the Democrat Party.-312.
