‘Big To’ gives testimony in case of money connections to gambling websites and 18 gray businesses. The National Police Commission insists on retroactive charges even if retired. They are expediting the investigation of all involved parties within 180 days.

Pol. Gen. Torsak Sukwimol, the national police chief, gave information to the Police Complaints Review Committee (PCC) about the financial trails linked to 18 gray businesses and online gambling websites, which lawyer Sittra Biabangkerd had previously filed a complaint about. The national police chief arrived to give information at 11:00 a.m. and spent more than 3 hours giving information before returning. He told reporters that he was confident in the evidence presented to the committee and believed that justice would be served. He could not disclose the details.

While Pol. Lt. Gen. Sorasak Yenprem, chairman of the National Police Commission, revealed that Pol. Gen. Torsak had brought documentary evidence and statements to clarify to the committee as a
witness on every issue raised by the committee, but could not disclose the details. Each issue must be considered by the committee in detail and is expected to take a long time, with a time frame of 180 days. In this time frame, all relevant persons must be questioned and completed. However, if it is not completed, the time frame can be extended for another 60 days as necessary.

As for Pol. Gen. Torsak retiring from government service, that will be interpreted in terms of the law. However, the committee believes that it will be able to proceed if evidence of wrongdoing is found. It can be forwarded to the relevant agencies for retroactive action. In particular, disciplinary punishment will be forwarded to the Prime Minister in his capacity as commander. However, if there is a criminal offense, the matter will be forwarded to the NACC for indictment.

While lawyer Sittra Biabangkerd traveled to the Office of the Inspector General of the Royal Thai Police to follow up on the information provided by Pol. Gen. T
orsak, which was a matter that exceeded expectations that this committee had the courage and was not afraid of influence by summoning Pol. Gen. Torsak to provide information while he was still the National Police Commissioner, while other police groups had no progress in the case and no action taken, even though he had already filed all the complaints. Therefore, he admired this committee of the National Police Commission for their determination in their work.

In addition, Sittra’s lawyer also commented that the interrogation of this committee will definitely affect Pol. Gen. Torsak, even though the results will be released after his retirement at the end of this month. He is confident that the results of Pol. Gen. Torsak’s investigation will not be any different from the case of Pol. Gen. Surachet Hakpal, former deputy national police chief, who was found guilty of similar offenses and was previously dismissed from government service.

After questioning Pol. Gen. Torsak, he will ask the committee whether Po
l. Gen. Torsak’s wife, Deputy Fang, and Sergeant Major Long, Pol. Gen. Torsak’s close police officer, have been summoned to provide information or when they will be summoned, which is according to the rights that he is able to know as the petitioner. He also confirmed that he personally does not know or have any anger toward Pol. Gen. Torsak, but he wants to proceed with the same standards as Pol. Gen. Surachet.

As for the part that came today, he also confirmed that he did not intend to confront or confront Pol. Gen. Torsak. However, if they met, he would greet them with a ‘wai’ as he was younger. He would not ask about the legal case because society already knew everything about it. There was no need to emphasize it.
