“Anutin” said he still could not hear clearly the audio clip that sounded like “Gen. Prawit” but a friend called to tell him. He insisted that it was an old story, telling it to each other for fun. He refused to comment on revenge against “Uncle Pom”, saying that if it was not related to him, he would let it go. Meanwhile, “Permanent Secretary Keng” admitted that it was his own voice and informed him before submitting it to the Cabinet in his capacity as the supervisor of the Ministry of Interior.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spoke about the case of listening to an audio clip that is believed to be Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, talking to a person, which contains content about the appointment of civil servants under the Ministry of Interior. He said that he could not listen very well. The reason he listened to it was because someone sent it to him and said that the voice sounded like someone from the Ministry of Interior. He tried to look
for it, but could not find it. He had to find a quiet room to listen to it again. Just now, he was in the parliament meeting room.

When asked in which era it happened, Mr. Anutin said that friends called to tell him that it was not the present era, it was an old clip, he had not listened to it clearly himself. If the sound in the clip was true, it had nothing to do with him, it was just a story told to others, but he wanted to listen clearly first. As for whether this matter was a political revenge game, Mr. Anutin emphasized that he wanted to listen clearly first. When asked again whether the 4 clips that were released said that it was a political killing game, Mr. Anutin said that he had to ask Mr. Old Dog.

And when asked if releasing the clip like this was aimed at Gen. Prawit, Mr. Anutin paused for a moment before saying, ‘What is it called? If we are not involved, we should not involve ourselves. A clip like this will not cause any change. Please just look at it casually. Look at it for enjoyment. The
era has changed.’

However, early on before the interview, Mr. Anutin teased the media that he took a photo while listening to the audio clip in the meeting room. It came out very clearly. It’s good that he didn’t look at other photos. From now on, he probably won’t dare to watch the clip again.

Mr. Suttipong Juljarern, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, admitted that it was his own voice when Gen. Prawit was overseeing the security sector and the Ministry of Interior. It was a report to be submitted to the Cabinet meeting by proposing the appointment of Mr. Khajorn Chawanothai as the Director-General of the Department of Local Administration Promotion and Mr. Arsit Sampantharat, who at that time was the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior. Therefore, he proposed the appointment to be the Director-General of the Community Development Department, which Gen. Prawit had to approve, so he had to report it, and he kindly did not interfere and gave his approval to submit it to the
Cabinet for approval, proposing the names for royal approval as proposed by the Cabinet.
