30-year-old Lao woman to undergo surgery for uterine tumor tomorrow (July 25)

Tomorrow (July 25), a 30-year-old Lao woman will undergo surgery for a tumor growing in her uterus at Srinagarind Hospital in Khon Kaen Province. A Laotian YouTuber has released a clip for her fans to donate money to cover the cost of her treatment.

Ms. Ang, a resident of Songkhon, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR, brought a garland to pay homage to the royal monument of His Majesty King Mahidol Adulyadej the Great and Her Majesty Queen Sri Nakarindra the Queen Mother, as well as sacred objects at Srinagarind Hospital, Khon Kaen University, to ask for blessings for her younger sister, Ms. Pim, 30 years old, who will undergo surgery tomorrow, to be safe after suffering from a large abdomen for 7 years. She was previously treated at a hospital in Ubon Ratchathani Province and was referred to the National Cancer Institute of Thailand in 2015. The doctor informed her that she had a tumor in her uterus and had already undergone surgery to remove the tumor twice, using chemotherapy at the same time. She then went to
recuperate in her hometown in Lao PDR, but her condition did not improve and her abdomen continued to grow.

The family ran out of money and had to treat her with the best of their ability, using traditional medicine, because they had no money to return to Thailand for continuous treatment. They suffered for almost 10 years. The younger sister gave up and accepted that there was no cure. When she first came to receive treatment at home, it was estimated that she would not live for a year, and her stomach kept getting bigger. The family suspected that if it was really cancer, she would not have survived this long. She should have died in the first 3-6 months. So they took a picture and posted it on Facebook. Two Lao YouTubers, Sao Keum Jai Sa-nguan and Bao Pami, shared it until fans who followed the channel learned about the story. For example, in Laos, the United States, and Norway, they donated money for the surgery, so she went to a hospital in Mukdahan Province and was transferred to Srinagarind Hospital i
n Khon Kaen Province. They thanked Srinagarind Hospital for informing them not to worry about the medical expenses, which were around 10,000-100,000 baht, because they could pay in installments. Even if they did not have the money, they would provide full treatment. The surgery would take up to 24 hours.

For the treatment of Nong Pim, a young woman from Laos with a large belly, it is considered the first case with the largest uterine tumor ever found in the Thai medical community. This is because the patient weighs 70 kilograms, whereas before the symptoms appeared she weighed only 50 kilograms. This means that the tumor growing in the uterus must weigh 20 kilograms or more. The medical team from Srinagarind Hospital will perform surgery to remove the tumor and diagnose the disease on July 25.

The merit-making YouTuber, ‘Sao Keum Jai Sahwang’ from Laos, added that after seeing the post on Facebook, she went to inquire and made a clip to share, which caused the channel’s followers in America to coordinate to
help pay for the examination at Mukdahan Hospital, but was transferred to Srinagarind Hospital in Khon Kaen Province, which made the merit-making YouTuber team worried because there was no budget to treat Nong Pim. However, the fans let them act as a bridge of merit, and many kind-hearted people helped to collect more than 100,000 baht. She confirmed that all the donated money will be used to help Nong Pim.
